Amazing

Saw this amazing, very emotional film at Sundance in 2010. Highly recommend!

Abel

Such a beautifully realized and affecting film about love and family. Just the right amount of humor, fantasy, tragedy and joy to be relatable to anyone who has a bit of an odd family. Really fantastic directorial debut from Diego.

Cute, Smart, and CRAZY

What happens in the world of child that has been heartbroken by his father leaving? Well this film is an extraordinary dramatization of just the worst scenario, bringing to life the worst fears of a child without a father. The extremities of the family's poverty and the beautiful cultural landscape provide a look into the cultural and economical pressures of the time that can cause a child's imagination to go haywire. Meanwhile, be impressed by the colorful imagery that is scattered throughout the film. It moves a bit slower at moments, but it is certainly a good watch.
