Plot Summary

The one thing that we all have in common on this earth is a father. Unfortunately, for most, we also share a father wound. There is nothing more damaging than looking to the man who has the power to answer everything, only to get nothing. Whether he is physically gone or emotionally checked out, whether we are prostitutes or one of the most significant rock stars of all time, the pain is the same. In Absent, acclaimed storyteller Justin Hunt (American Meth) simplifies the most universal wound on this earth and provides hope that it can be overcome. Absent goes far beyond the confines of a movie. It is a deeper understanding of a societal issue that plagues every continent. It is more than a movie that allows us to escape reality. It is a guide for us to make reality better. As you'll find, one man really does make a world of difference.

Customer Reviews

Powerful, 'Must See' Movie!

Absent is directed by a brilliant man and casted honestly. It is presented in a raw, powerful way that portrays the very heart of many family pains and generational curses that exist today due to absent or 'too busy' fathers. Kudos to Justin Hunt for having the vision to bring the truth of this very big problem to light. MUST SEE!!

Powerful & honest

The effects of fathers on their kids lives is undeniable. Even if people act as if fathers or lack of fathers don't affect their lives their actions show otherwise. This documentary deal head on with this tough issues of fatherless in our culture & how men & women have been trying to fill the void left by absentee Dads. For many it won't be a blame game but an awakening to understand what has been driving them for years...and what to do about it.

Amazing and Powerful

Everyone who has some issue with their Father can relate to this. I highly recomend this!
