Plot Summary

From the producer of Bruce Almighty and Liar Liar comes a whole new school of thought: Accepted. When every college turns him down, Bartleby "B" Gaines decides to make one up. Welcome to the South Harmon Institute of Technology, where the students teach the classes, the dean lives in a trailer in the back, and Bartleby's on the way to scoring with the girl of his dreams. It's a raunchy, rowdy, flat-out funny college comedy that critics are calling "freakin' hilarious" (Steven Chupnick, MovieWeb.com)!

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: If you can lighten up for an hour and a half, the film delivers one good laugh after another. – Peter Hartlaub, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Like its underachieving protagonist, Steve Pink's teen comedy Accepted flashes just enough charm to get by but is too lazy to really make anything of itself. – Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: A campus comedy that's as dull as bong water, Accepted is like the product of a community college filmmaking class, remedial division. – Kyle Smith, New York Post, Jul 16, 2008

Rotten: Go right ahead and skip this one at the Cineplex. You've got my word: It won't be on the final. – Joanne Kaufman, Wall Street Journal, Jun 24, 2010

FINALLY

every day I check to see if they have this movie, and FINALLY, today they have it. The soundtrack is pretty good to, this is the only college movie i've seen that's actually realistic and witty. check yes if this was helpful!

Awsome

If ur looking for a good laugh this the movie for u!!!!! :)

Hilarious!

I saw this movie in theaters, and as luck would have it, it was right before I started college. I was surprised by how much I LOVED it. I would agree with the reviewer who said it's got a lot of adult content for PG-13, but aside from that it's full of laughs. It is a fantastic look (both in terms of "very good" and "like a fantasy") at the college experience, if college students actually opened their own college. I'm enjoying my college experience, but to be honest I would transfer to South Harmon Institute of Technology if it existed.
