Plot Summary
Director Spike Jonze delivers a stunningly original comedy that seamlessly blends fictional characters and situations with the lives of real people: obsessive orchid hunter John Laroche (Cooper), New Yorker journalist Susan Orlean (Streep), Hollywood screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Cage), and his twin brother, Donald (also Cage). As Charlie struggles to adapt Orlean's best-selling book "The Orchid Thief," he writes himself into his own movie. The various stories crash into one another exploding into a wildly imaginative film. ADAPTATION, the year's most talked about movie, is at once a hilarious drama and a moving comedy.

Fresh: Adaptation may not be the first movie to examine the creative process. But it's the most playfully brilliant.
Fresh: Adaptation is simply brilliant.
Fresh: One-of-a-kind near-masterpiece.
Fresh: It will surprise you. It will delight you. It will give you something truly chewy to take home from the theater.

Amazing Insight
When i first saw this movie, i couldnt stop thinking about it. Its amazing! Each of these characters finds someone who inspires them in some deep way and changes their view on life. THEN each finds out that they have been mislead and betrayed by the outward appearance. Such amazing insights into insecurity and the perceived loneliness of every human being. definitely a MUST SEE
Adaptation
This is by far the most clever, genius, and ahead-of-it's-time film that this generation has seen. The hypocrisy demonstrated by the protagonist provides a perfect hollywood satire, while remaining solemn and heartfelt. The acting of Cage, Streep, and Cooper is phinaminal, and the subtle genius facts and ideas really complement the amazing screenplay, direction, and acting. I couldn't be more impressed.
Infectious and Ingenious
This is in my top 5 favorite films! It's a wonderfully batty story with A+ writing, acting and usage of plants. This movie will make you laugh from the first line till the last, and Meryl Streep is TERRIFIC!
