Plot Summary

Suburbia, 2008. Swept up in a heady pre-recession world of absentee parents, plentiful booze and casual sex, aspiring photographer Fisher Miller (Ben Rosenfield) escapes his middle-class life for the moneyed mansions of the young, beautiful elite. With a stash of high-quality weed and a vintage camera, he gains access to his gorgeous cousin Kate’s (Nicola Peltz) circle of wealthy and indulged friends, just as their entitled reality is about to spin out of control. A revealing take on the hidden perils of privilege. Also starring Gregg Sulkin, Nicola Peltz, Grant Gustin, Samantha Mathis & Steve Guttenberg.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: "The Great Gatsby" Lite screenplay by Antonio Macia hasn't the sharpness of satire or the momentousness of an American tragedy, veering instead toward middling melodrama. – Sheri Linden, Los Angeles Times, Jul 17, 2014

Rotten: Kevin Asch's sophomore feature attempts to tackle weighty themes but ultimately feels as shallow as the lives of most of its principal characters. – Frank Scheck, Hollywood Reporter, Jul 22, 2014

Rotten: A teen drama about wealthy Hampton-ites that engages in more than a little virtuous tut-tutting. – Abby Garnett, Village Voice, Jul 10, 2014

Rotten: The movie's ennui feels like so much posing, and the Bret Easton Ellis-lite characters are monotone. – Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News, Jul 10, 2014

Nicola ♥

So lovely girl, I like Nicola Peltz

HIghly entertaining

This was an entertaining movie and a great watch this summer. Nicola Peltz and Gregg Sulkin are on their way to the A-list!

F. Scott Fitzgerald is rolling over in his grave... because he wants to get out to see this movie!

Gregg Sulkin brooding. Nicola Peltz pouting. Grant Gustin showing us that The Flash is gonna be awesome. And Steve Guttenberg shouting. What more can you ask for?

Seriously? What more are you asking for? You're so demanding. Go away. But watch this movie. Go away and watch this movie. And if you see F. Scott Fitzgerald try beheading him, because he's a zombie.
