Plot Summary
Heading a star-studded cast, Griffin Dunne ("My Girl," "Who's That Girl?") is just a regular guy in that friendly, regular town -- New York City -- who winds up in an hysterical series of misadventures one long, crazy night on the quintessential date-from-hell. Directed by Academy Award-winner Martin Scorsese ("GoodFellas," "The Age of Innocence"), this critically acclaimed black comedy features Rosanna Arquette ("Pulp Fiction," "Desperately Seeking Susan"), Academy Award-nominee Teri Garr ("Tootsie," "Young Frankenstein"), Bronson Pinchot (TV's "Perfect Strangers," "True Romance"), Linda Fiorentino ("The Last Seduction," "Vision Quest"), John Heard ("Home Alone" 1 & 2) and Cheech and Chong. Siskel & Ebert call this "a great movie!"

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: After Hours is not, ultimately, a satisfying film, but it's often vigorously unsettling. In this season of homogenized pap, that should be read as praise.
Fresh: The result is a delirious and challenging comedy, a postmodern Ulysses in Nighttown.
Fresh: This is the work of a master filmmaker who controls his effects so skillfully that I was drained by this film.
Fresh: Scorsese's orchestration of thematic development, narrative structure, and visual style is stunning in its detail and fullness; this 1985 feature reestablished him as one of the very few contemporary masters of filmmaking.

One of my favorites
I own this already, but highly recommend it. If you've ever had some crazy nights out, there's a lot to relate to in this great film.
After Hours
This is the best Scorsese film. Great job i-tunes for putting this up on for rent. I wish I could buy it however. It has been difficult to find. This is a film you can watch again and again. This isn't beat you over the head funny but it is funny. Scorsese should do more in this genre if you ask me. If you want to find a new fav, this one is for you!
Thank you Itunes
This movie never made it to DVD, but it is a cult classic that the main star Griffin Dunne was never able to recreate. I'm embarrassed to say I've seen it dozens of times, it is that good! It's a star studded cast with an independent film feel. If there is anyone at Itunes reading this review- thank you!
