Plot Summary
Ain’t In It For My Health: A Film About Levon Helm is an intimate portrait of founding member of The Band and music legend Levon Helm. The man known worldwide for his soulful voice and multi-instrumental skills allowed a camera crew inside his Woodstock, N.Y. home in the midst of creating his first studio album in 25 years. Shot during the course of two-plus years, the film follows the four-time Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member after his 2007 comeback album brought him back to the spotlight. An amazing artist until the end...
I loved this movie. Levon Helm was a fascinating character in The Last Waltz, and he's even more interesting here. It's really an amazing look at a flawed but amazing man.
