Plot Summary

This vivid depiction of heroism and agony features a superb cast. Brian Keith plays Davy Crockett and James Arness is Jim Bowie. Bowie clashes with Colonel William Travis (Alec Baldwin), but is able to bury his differences to focus upon the battle against the Mexican soldiers. The battle scenes are breathtakingly lifelike.

I love this movie

I am related 2 the real Davy crokett and the Alamo is part of history so watch it

This is really good!

This movie was amazing! It was so sad when all the defenders died.

Please watch it. You'll learn something and it's just a really cool movie to watch.

A great film

Though this can't fairly be compared to the Alamo directed by John Wayne back in 1960 this made for tv film has many highlights. From the first cannon shots to the eventual fall of the Alamo the viewer gets a decent look into what was going on in not only Travis', Bowie's and Crockett's minds but also what the victory meant to Santa Ana. The fall of the Alamo became a part of our history just as it became a part of Mexico's history. Though little is known of the actual battle and the events that led up to it, we can be certain of one thing: When the defenders died it was with honor for they died for Texas and ultimately for a future state of the USA
