Plot Summary
Superstar Will Smith gives the performance of his career as boxing legend Muhammad Ali in a visually amazing epic drama from Academy Award® nominated director Michael Mann. But the man behind the legend is grappling with a tumultuous romantic life, his deeply held religious beliefs and the pressures ofstaying on top. Fresh: If Michael Mann's new biopic of Muhammad Ali is not right up there with the gold standard of boxing biographies, Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro's Raging Bull, it misses by only a whisker.
Fresh: Will Smith's Muhammed Ali isn't an impersonation, it's a transformation. There is no narration to tell us the story, no treacly music cues to tell us when to cry. Some audiences might be disconcerted at being treated so intelligently.
Fresh: Even though the movie is too long and suffers from an inconsistent tone, the narrative is compelling, as are the performances.

This movie came out when my world was crashing down in 2002. I must have watched it for 3 months straight. It helped me get the courage to get myself back on my feet. I was destitute and near the end. The inspiration kept me going. A must-see for anyone down and out due to today's economic collapse. I still call it my favorite movie of all time. I hope this helps your as much as it helps me. I actually came here because I think the new Apple iphone 3g commercial music came from here. I'm about 99% sure and was hoping to find it. It's got to be the same moving inspirational music they played at the end of the move. Good luck!
Fun.... but that's all there is to it.
The actors were excellent but for some reason...... i just didn't "feel" the movie... Can't believe no one has ever reviewed this...
