Plot Summary
It's the end of yet another night at Hastings Supermarket, an idyllic family grocery store in Buck Lake, Arizona. But the normal monotony of rounding up shopping carts and settling out the cash drawers is broken at 11:07pm, just before closing when a group of masked and armed-to-the-teeth militants invades the store, immediately killing several of the employees and shoppers and holding the rest hostage. Though the hostage-takers at first appear to be robbers or terrorists, they reveal themselves to be a cadre of rogue scientists that has discovered and tracked an alien infestation to this store on this night, and they are determined to find out which of the survivors are extraterrestrials and end the invasion at any cost.

What more could you ask for?
As someone who's actually SEEN the movie, I can vouch it's a fun ride. It moves fast, and the dialogue and acting are above average--not always the norm for this genre. It's eerie and atmospheric and better than most horror films you see in theatres.
Better than either "X-files" movie
I saw "Alien Raiders" at the 2008 HP Lovecraft Film Festival in Portland, Oregon. It's a tightly paced thriller that yes, involves aliens. The title is unfortunate. It screened at the end of the Festival, which is usually the time I start to doze off in the theater. But this flick kept me up; I didn't want to blink. The low budget works in its favor; you see only what you need to see, the cast carries the rest of the movie. I've also seen "The Mist", but "Alien Raiders" is more engaging - better acting, story, and pacing. If you are a fan of role-playing games like Delta Green, you MUST see this movie.
A GREAT little horror film
I first saw this film at the 2008 Terror Film Festival - where it won Best Picture. I understand that is has also won Best Picture at several other horror-oriented festivals. It well deserves the honor. This film was made on a low budget - but during the screen writer's strike. That meant that they could get top notch technical, production, and acting talent ... and it shows! I strongly recommend.
