Plot Summary
Rene (Paul Rudd of ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, 40-YEAR-OLD VIRGIN) and Dennis (Oscar®-nominee Paul Giamatti of SIDEWAYS, JOHN DIES AT THE END) prove Christmas is the season for a good con. A low-level convict fresh out of prison, misanthropic Dennis is unable to find work because of his shady past. Furthermore, he discovers his longtime partner in crime, Rene, has begun a relationship with his ex-wife. Despite their growing animosity toward one another, the two decide to pull one last job together: selling Christmas trees in New York City. Costarring Golden Globe®-winner Sally Hawkins (SUBMARINE, NEVER LET ME GO) and Peter Hermann (OUR IDIOT BROTHER, TROUBLE WITH THE CURVE), this odd-couple buddy comedy is the long-awaited second feature from JUNEBUG director Phil Morrison.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: With its affection for downscale characters who dart in and out of the men's lives, "All Is Bright" has an openheartedness reminiscent of a Preston Sturges film.
Fresh: The film has an accomplished mood of cantankerous despair, but it's still little more than downbeat fluff.
Rotten: A holiday tale that sabotages its seriousness with humor that's both dire and out of place.
Rotten: Does anybody connected with this cinematic Valium know what they're supposed to be doing? The alleged "comedy" is too lame to make you laugh, and the poignancy is nonexistent.

All is Bright
Hilarious and surprisingly heartfelt. The two Pauls are great in this.
For Giamatti and Sideways fans.
The story follows two semi-down guys on a road trip that is similar to 'Sideways' in that it's the serious, yet laughable, relationship of the two men looking for their next step up in life. I enjoyed the movie from beginning to end, but maybe for 'Sideways' fans only.
All Isn’t Bright
This was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life. What a waste of talent! What were they thinking when they read the script?!
