Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: In spite of its slap-bang construction and its hour-and-three-quarters length, the picture does move with precision and steadily maintained suspense. – Bosley Crowther, New York Times, Mar 25, 2014

Fresh: Bogart, as retired mobster turned bigtime gambler, is easy to take. – Variety Staff, Variety, Mar 25, 2014

Fresh: An excellent Warner Brothers actioner from 1942. – Dave Kehr, Chicago Reader, Mar 25, 2014

Fresh: Strong acting from a superb cast make it more than watchable, though both propaganda and direction are less than inspired. – Geoff Andrew, Time Out, Mar 25, 2014

Love Humphrey Bogart

I love this movie, actually I love anything that Humphrey Bogart does. In this movie he plays Gloves Donahue, a journalist who gets mixed up in a Nazi spy ring after they murder the man who makes his favorite cheesecake. It's Gangster vs. Gestapo in this mystery of blackmail, misunderstanings, murder, and love too. I definately recommend buying it.

ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT

The thing thats great about All Through the Night is first off the cast Bogie of course who is great then theirs Peter Lorre,William Demarest,A very young Jackie Gleason, Judith Anderson,Phil Silvers,Frank Mchugh, and the very special actor Conrad Veidt. The propaganda movie of the 40's are just fun to watch especially this one with a great mix of comedy and drama with Bogie and his cohorts battling nazi spies. The movie is in my opinion one that deserves more respect for its all around fun, seriousness, noir atmosphere and of course Bogie and Veidt and Lorre a perfect combonation of actors. al Haglund
