Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: A dour Gallic comedy about five septuagenarian friends living comfortably in the outskirts of Paris who decide to share a house rather than move into retirement homes.
Fresh: Well-acted and directed, with melancholy grooved insights that will only be news to the young and narcissistic, Together is a pleasant way to while away an afternoon and see some old pros in great form.
Fresh: The film's central performances reflect both its celebration of age and a sense of wistfulness.
Fresh: The acting is solid, and the maturity of vision mixed with humor should appeal to the same audience that turned The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel into such an unexpected runaway hit.
Customer Reviews
why so much hate?
Just because Jane Fonda expresses her political beliefs (and as much as I can remember there is something called the first amendment) doesn't disqualify her as an actress.
Quite on the contrary. If you only watch movies with artists , who share your political opinion, you end up limiting yourself to a wide variety of wonderful works of art. Please open your mind and your heart will thank you.
Excellent movie. Lots to think about--friendship, love, aging.
If you liked The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, you will probably like this movie.
