Plot Summary

What makes for the ultimate road trip? Hitchhiking, truck stops, angry bears, prickly porcupines and a golfing goose with a duck caddy. Just ask Kate (Hayden Panettiere) and Humphrey (Justin Long), two wolves who are trying to get home after being taken by park rangers and shipped halfway across the country. Humphrey is an Omega wolf, whose days are about quick wit, snappy one-liners and hanging with his motley crew of fun-loving wolves and video-gaming squirrels. Kate is an Alpha: duty, discipline and sleek eye-popping moves fuel her fire. Humphrey's motto — make 'em laugh. Kate's motto — I'm the boss. And they have a thousand miles to go. Back home rival wolf packs are on the march and conflict is brewing. Only Kate and Humphrey can restore the peace. But first, they have to survive each other.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: Has old-fashioned backgrounds that occasionally achieve a touch of grandeur, but that's about the best that can be said for it. – Mike Hale, New York Times, Sep 17, 2010

Rotten: Underwhelming in the style of most off-brand CG, Alpha and Omega is livened by pretty Rocky Mountain backdrops and leadened by stock characters and the wolves' weirdly prissy behavior. – Adam Markovitz, Entertainment Weekly, Sep 15, 2010

Rotten: Alpha and Omega is one of those rarities in the modern era of Hollywood animation: bad. – Scott Bowles, USA Today, Sep 17, 2010

Rotten: The story comes off as patchwork, with a climax cribbed from The Lion King and odd musical sequences that seem inspired by …ahem, classic Mariah Carey. It's not quite the vision of love intended. – Glenn Whipp, Los Angeles Times, Sep 17, 2010

I love this movie

This movie is amazing highly recommended

When will this happen again?

Like the title says, "When will this happen again?" I would like for anyone to do this but count how many wolf related movies there are. Obliviously not that many... Best wolf related movie since i've seen Balto 3! ^^

Very entertaining movie to watch!!!!!

I enjoyed watching this movie with our 6 year old. She loved the characters and the movie(and she could care less if the animation is the best ever!) The movie is for children and it does a great job entertaining them and an adult that isn't too fussy whether it's the best at this or that. Just enjoy it, smile, and laugh. Well worth the buy!!!!
