Plot Summary

In 1998 the world's oil supply is exhausted. The U.S. Treasury is empty and in deep debt to a billionaire businessman who'll foreclose on the nation in 30 days. The solution: a telethon to save Uncle Sam from bankruptcy.

Too Real...

The premise is all too familiar. A President who is more about style, a country with oil problems, a fixation on TV and a $400 Billion Dollar debt. A great cast and interesting writing, plus music from the Beach Boys, Elvis Costello and Eddie Money. This and Idiocracy are signs that Life Imitates Art.
