Plot Summary
Five university friends gather at a house party to ring in the New Year. Unbeknownst to them, an epidemic has erupted outside, causing outbreaks around the world. With nowhere else to turn, they barricade themselves indoors with only their phones, laptops, and other tech devices. They use their devices to research the possible cause of this outbreak. Information and video footage overflow their computers as they descend further into the cause and the ensuing chaos. As the virus spreads, the mood in the house changes from fear to paranoia. Who is safe? Who can they trust? Reality becomes blurred as they slowly discover the source of the virus causing the sickness . . . and there is no going back.

Pleasantly surprised by this film
I had very low expectations for this film based on the premise, and when it started I was a bit annoyed by the poor acting from the majority of the cast. But as the movie went on, it became clear that the director had influences in some of my favorite movies (Evil Dead, Jacob’s Ladder) and by the end, I actually had a smile on my face. I really had a good time with this movie, and some of the gore was very nicely done! Watch it with an open mind and with patience for talentless actors. You might just be as surprised as I was.
Hmm
Not a bad movie was a bit slow at the beginning and middle but had a good punch at the end worth watching.
Good horror
The story was interesting. The gore was great! A good pick for any horror fan.
