Plot Summary

When Muffy St. John invited her college friends up to her parents' secluded island home for the time of their lives, she just forgot to tell them it might be the last time of their lives. As soon as the kids arrive on the island, someone starts trimming the guest list...one murder at a time. And what starts out as a weekend of harmless "April Fool's Day" pranks turns into a bloody battle for survival. It's just what you'd expect from the producer who brough" you "Body Parts", "Species" and "Friday the 13th-Parts III-V."

April Fools

This movie is so good. i love it. its not as scary as what you think!

Way ahead of its time

Typically lost in the muck of '80s holiday-themed slasher flicks, this little gem turns the clichés upside-down with a level of humor and irony that wouldn't be fully absorbed into the horror genre until the Scream flicks a decade later. Starring a variety of vaguely familiar "teens" from other '80s films (including Deborah Foreman from Valley Girl, Amy Steel from Friday the 13th Part II, Deborah Goodrich and Clayton Rohner from Just One of the Guys, and Thomas F. Wilson from the Back to the Future trilogy), some effort has been made to make all of the characters likable and to make the scares psychological rather than rely on cheap-looking gore. Most importantly, there is actually a script here, and ultimately it is the story that serves the film. Check it out if you always thought '80s slashers were more stupid than stylish.

April Fools Day

I enjoyed this movie for it's originality. Who'd ever think supporting actors from other 80's classics could make such an entertaining film!
