Plot Summary

When Bob receives a letter from the county clerk’s office telling him that he has inherited property, he sets off on a journey of discovery. Bob is drawn away from his unsatisfying suburban life with his girlfriend Sandy, who does nothing but use him, and experiences the heart of an urban world that he never knew existed. He meets several people who open his eyes to a place that actually seems to offer its inhabitants a chance for happiness.

Wonderful feel-good

This film is surprising, touching, funny, a little wild and strange, while carrying a message we can all feel good about. The acting of Googy Gress is innovative and moving. He provides the viewer with so many ways for the viewer to relate. I was impressed with the character played by Daniel Baldwin, who through a little strange behavior brings the viewer to a better understanding of the film and ourselves. Gigi Rice does an incredible job of adding humor to the film and seems to enjoy using her unassuming husband's good nature. Clint Howard had me laughing and Orson Bean had me wondering. The direction of this film is very good and the story, while is starts a bit slow, turns on quickly and keeps most viewers wondering, "what the heck is going to happen to poor Bob next," (the character played by Googy Gress).

This is a true feel-good movie that will make the viewer take a closer look at their own lives. Keep the tissues handy. Great job and kudos the whole cast and crew of "Ashley's Ashes," you made my evening.

If you are a person who is fond of Opossums you might want to close your eyes during the pool scenes. Have fun and enjoy this film.

A Wonderful Relationship Story

I loved this feel good movie! The audience is taken on a wonderful journey, meeting quirky and fun characters. The acting is very well done and I loved watching the transformation of Googy's character as he endeavors to learn about Ashley. I laughed and I cried. Don't miss this wonderful movie that teaches us about real relationships.
