Plot Summary
In the aftermath of global thermonuclear war, three battletested women distinctly armed with assault rifles and electrifying magic are transported to the virtual world of Avalon F. It's here these beautiful women known as Assault Girls must test their fighting skills in an epic virtual battle against sand-dwelling monsters known as Sand Whales. As the virtual game begins to unfold, the sparkle of "muzzle flash" begins to fade and assault ships gather overhead. The end is near when suddenly a gigantic super mutation called "Madara Sunakujira" attacks and the battle for survival begins.

Review of the Trailer not the movie
Trailer is so bad that the movie *must* be an improvement… mustn't it?
Decent Effects, Strange Direction
Honestly, I watched this movie for that "Asian" movie feel and wasd moderately entertained. The battle scenes were actually pretty decent, w/o any real awkward hiccups. Outside of those scenes...its kinda of bore. It tries to portray a video-game and how its players interact w/ one another and for that effect it was believable, but the banter, conversations, and strange conflictions puts one off from being involved in the movie. It's relatively short for a movie so these problems don't really compound enough to warrant a bad movie. To watch this movie is to experiment w/ your viewing pleasure. Rent it once if you're willing to see something different, but I don't recommend buying it.
Weird Oshii.
This was amazingly disappointing, I was thinking about something close to Avalon, but what I got was worse than a video game storytelling for kids. There is nothing here, it is basically a mission inside the Avalon game where 4 people try to kill some giant sandworm that resembles Dune. So, no originality not to say no sense at all. The characters and plot are abusively childish even though there is a pseudo-intellectual introduction to support the background for the movie. I wonder to whom this would appeal, but in any case this is not a Mamoru Oshii typical movie, so beware.
