Plot Summary
This intimate and compelling documentary profiles inmates of the New Folsom, one of California’s most maximum-security prisons, and the program that allows them a chance at redemption. The film follows prisoners, most of whom are serving life sentences, as they work to uncover and express themselves via the New Folsom’s Arts in Corrections’ room, where they make art, attend prison poetry readings, gospel choirs, and more. “At Night I Fly” shows the artistic and human journey these men take, as well as the need that fuels it, and the beauty and pain encountered along the way.
