Plot Summary
The legendary Rosalind Russell ("Gypsy," "His Girl Friday") recreates on screen her Broadway triumph as an eccentric grande dame who teaches her 10-year old nephew to appreciate life. As she puts it..."life is a banquet, and most poor suckers are starving to death."

THIS IS THE BEST. YOU'LL LAUGH, YOU'LL CRY, YOU WILL WONDER WHY THEY MADE A MUSICAL VERSION SO BAD WITH LUCILLE BALL. I see this movie once a year and everytime I see it I just love it. This is the ultimate Gay movie, a huge following in the gay community for this incredible film. But don't worry, straight guys & girls love it too, so don't let that stop you from seeing it. One great well written & acted film. ,LIVE, LIVE LIFE IS A BANQUET, & MOST PEOPLE ARE STARVIN TO DEATH!!! Aint that the truth.
Auntie Mame
Thank you, thank you, thank you iTunes for finally getting this movie. It's the best movie of all time! I've been checking for it on iTunes for nearly a year and am so glad I can finally watch it on my ipod instead of my laptop when i'm on the plane. For anyone who hasn't seen this version of Auntie Mame, don't waste money renting it: you have to buy it!! You'll fall in love with Rosalyn Russell in this role. There is also a version with Lucille Ball but I prefer this version much more.
Life is a Banquet
There aren't enough stars to rate this movie. It is fun, funny, poignant, timeless .... for years I thought the story was true it was so well done .... staging and acting. I too have been checking every other day for the past year. I love to watch this movie at Christmas time. All the actors are superb - buy it .... it is worth every penny.
