Plot Summary
An uptight, middle-aged, married American journeys to Italy to claim the remains of his father, who was killed in an automobile accident. He learns that the old gent didn't die alone...his English mistress was with him. And, apparently, the couple had been carrying on every summer for over ten years! Based on the play by Samuel Taylor.

Fresh: This 1972 release is the most underrated of all Billy Wilder comedies and arguably the one that comes closest to the sweet mastery and lilting grace of his mentor, Ernst Lubitsch.

billy wilder was a master director and writer. this is probably the wittiest most romantic (NOT CHEESY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT) movie hes made. if u like wilder WATCH THIS ASAP
