Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: It's a remote-control movie experience, a high-tech "wish you were here" scribbled on a very expensive postcard. – Stephanie Zacharek, Salon.com, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: The most-hyped movie of the year just about merits it. – Amy Biancolli, San Francisco Chronicle, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: Mr. Cameron's singular vision has upped the ante for filmed entertainment, and given us a travelogue unlike any other. I wouldn't want to live on Pandora, mainly because of the bad air, but I'm glad to have paid it a visit. – Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Cameron and his legion of CGI experts and skilled craftspeople have delivered a lovely, misty, dangerous world. – Lisa Kennedy, Denver Post, Jun 24, 2010

Avatar Amazement

James Cameron makes a triumphant return to the box office with Avatar. Avatar is the highest-grossing film of all time and it's not a surprise. The film is a futuristic western that showcases the best CG, cinematography, and action that Hollywood has to offer. Although the story is pretty predictable and borrows many elements from Pocahontas, it still manages to keep the audience engrossed in Avatar's spectacular universe. The superlative visuals in this film are absolutely breathtaking. The beautiful creature designs, environments, and action sequences take CG to an entirely new level. James Horner provides a memorable score to accompany this modern masterpiece, but fails to outdo his work on Titanic or Braveheart. Cameron has created a wonderful universe to expand upon in future sequels. Although Avatar is not perfect, it is definitely the best eye candy ever made.

I've been waiting for this

Simply one of the best movies of all time.

Honest Review

This movie is a beautiful film. Its like a very nice painting at the Greatest Art Muesuem in France. However, I want to watch a movie with a creative story and this movie is anything but. If you like visuals, then pay the 15$ and watch it again and again all you want. But if you want to watch a creative movie story wise, look else where
