Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Babylon's plot is a lumpy mixture of The Fifth Element and Children of Men, while its dystopian future references Blade Runner, Dune, and The Matrix.
Rotten: [A] futuristic mess of biblical proportions.
Rotten: When this Vin Diesel vehicle isn't pointlessly frenzied, it's narratively inert, wasting some decent production design, and a French-flavored cast primed for fun.
Rotten: An abysmal French thriller in which everyone -- Diesel included -- speaks as if they've learned their lines phonetically.

I Don't Understand The Reviews???
I was very hesitant to rent this movie after reading the reviews, but because I'd seen most of the new movies on here already I decided to give it a chance. I don't know where these reviews are coming from as this was a really good movie. If you're looking for some action and interesting plot rent this movie it's worth it. By the way I don't normally write reviews, I just felt others might miss a good movie because of the idiotic reviews. Also, I really should give this movie 4 stars, but I have to try and balance out all the bad reviews.
No, its not.
This is easily one of the worst sci-fi movies ever made. Yes if you agree.
Uncut? Better description is recut to make sense.
This movie is not in fact a uncut version, it is just recut. The commercials for it say that it is more raw and intense, but in fact (spoiler) they actually deleted an action sequence from the end of the movie where Toorop and company are pursued by the Noelite goons. This is a better version yes, and to be honest I only saw the theatrical version once several months ago, but I am fairly certain that there were also two other missing scenes in this "uncut" version: where they initially cross the Canadian/U.S. border (the airport scene) as well as the original ending from the theatrical release (Toorop and Aurora's children at a beautific log cabin). All in all this is a more coherent version and I did enjoy both (b/c lets face it I enjoy cheesey action/sci-fi every now and then) but it certainly does not qualify as uncut and don't expect any more action than the original.
