Plot Summary
From director Michael Bay (The Rock, Armageddon) and the production team of Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer (Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun) comes a thrill ride of explosive action from beginning to end. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence team up as partners in crime, crime-fighting that is, in this action-packed flick about a couple of good guys who are real Bad Boys! One hundred million dollars worth of confiscated heroin has just been jacked from police custody. Once the career bust of Detective Mike Lowery (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence), the missing drugs now threaten to shut down the narcotics division of the Miami Police Department. When the drug investigation turns deadly, the murderers kidnap the only witness, a beautful police informant (Tea Leoni) and close friend of the boys, which makes things get personal! Fast cars, a gorgeous woman and non-stop action make Bad Boys a guaranteed good time!

Fresh: This film isn't aiming for high-toned drama, just high-energy entertainment, which is what it delivers.
Rotten: Of course, the Simpson-Bruckheimer approach may still work at the box office (the only place it ever really mattered, anyway). By now, though, I'd like to think most moviegoers have had a permanent overdose.
Rotten: It's all special-effects noise and nonsense.
Fresh: Even when it's not particularly funny, their interplay is engaging, and their lively, raucous personalities keep the proceedings punchy and watchable for the slightly overlong running time.

michael bay did a great job, i heard about this movie when i was like 8 so my dad wuldnt let me watch it, so now that im older i re-discovered it and bought it, i loved it, so i bought the 2nd one (which i also recomend) it has awesome action with gory gun fights, fast car chases, massive explosions, but is still funny with will and martin
