Redemption By Trial
One of the underrated classic 'Bible' stories from this period in cinema which saw films like 'Ben Hur' and 'The Ten Commandments' being produced. Tells the story of the thief chosen by the mob over Jesus. A long and bitter struggle which finds that while Barabbas believes himself free of Christ, who was just "another man", discovers that he is in fact placed on his own path toward redemption. Simultaneously, one of the greatest gladiator films ever produced, even outpacing 'Spartacus' in my opinion. Depicting the lives beyond the arena - friendships, enemies, and even love -both brotherly and carnal. Look for a ripped and terrifying Jack Palance as the 'top gun' who decides that the much older Quinn is a joke ready for the slaughter.
Surprisingly good
A really nice twist on the story. this is a very well done movie. Surprised at how good it was and how much effort was put into it. I highly recommend this movie.
