Plot Summary
Always ready with a prank up his sleeve, Barfi (Ranbir Kapoor) is the talk of the town. His parents named him Murphy, but everyone calls him Barfi. Even though he can neither speak nor listen, he is quite the charmer. His bitter-sweet relationship with two beautiful young ladies, Shruti (Ileana D'cruz) and Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra), sets in motion a chain of events that will turn his life upside down. Set in Darjeeling and Calcutta in the 1970s, 'Barfi!' is a story of selfless love and finding happiness in the smallest things in life. This heart-warming tale tells you that no matter how tough your life may be, "Don't worry, be Barfi"!

Now one of my lifetime favorites!
Mind-blowing performances by Chopra, Kapoor, and D'Cruz. Solid and occasionally brilliant work by supporting cast. Beautiful cinematography supports multiple mesmerizing, magical scenes. I was completely transported by this film.
Not every moment is perfect, but as a whole, "Barfi!" is quite extraordinary. Uplifting and inspirational, despite a thread of pathos. So layered that every time I watch it, I discover something missed previously. Oh, and it is accompanied by a great musical score.
