Plot Summary
Sam “Barzan” Malkandi, an Iraqi refugee was working toward the American Dream when an accusation connecting him to an Al-Qaeda operative changed everything. To neighbors, Malkandi was the perfect family man. To investigators, Malkandi was a cold-blooded terrorist. To audiences, Malkandi is a mercurial character whose story embodies issues of immigration and xenophobia. This film takes audiences on the epic geopolitical journey of a family torn apart by suspicion, and examines the opaque government agencies charged with keeping us safe, even at the cost of freedom.

Wow, one of the most interesting docs Ive seen
A must see especially if you have been caught up in 9/11 and aftermath, how it effected people's lives, America and of course Immigration. Interesting and Unique take on such a huge issue happening everywhere right now.
Raises More than Awareness
A refreshingly objective view on a very complex situation, which not only raises awareness to US deportation policy and its effects on individual’s lives but raises questions for continued dialogue about what the American Dream means in the 21st Century. Congrats to all involved in this film.
Thought and emotion provoking
A very refreshing view at the mess that is the US immigration legal system, and the damage we are doing to people, even though well-meaning, all because of our “war on terror”. We are so spoiled in the US. This should make everyone reconsider their priorities, and reach out to those around us. Life is about love and fellowship with one another!!!
