Rotten: A battle ordinarily requires two sides, yet this earnest, ungracefully reconstructed saga posits that opposition to the building of the New Jersey Nets' future home took place in a virtual vacuum, and that the fix was in from the start.
Fresh: Although not exactly even-handed, the movie proves a deft look at a reluctant crusader and how financial sway and political override can so effectively trump the power of the average citizen.

Must see film on gentrification
This is a must see film for the real story behind the arena in Brooklyn, and how gentrification gets forced on a real community. Has gotten rave reviews and the film is great.

The Atlantic yards project spurred a lot of controversy in NYC ..for a long time. As an outsider, trying to figure out who's telling the truth, and who has the communities' best interest– things were terribly confusing. This film isn't just about David & Goliath. It's a portrait of when a society undermines its principles and how powerful people manipulate others so they can get what they want.
