Plot Summary

This is the story of two friends, Allan Weisbecker and Patrick Abrams, who grew up surfing together in the 1950's. In the 1970's, their friendship turned to criminal enterprise as they began running multi-ton shipments of marijuana from Columbia in to the United States by both sea and air. Eventually, the violence of the emerging cocaine trade forced them to separate. After 20 years, Allan bought a truck with a camper and went looking for his friend. On this trip, he wrote a book that would become the most popular in the surfing culture, "In Search of Captain Zero." Nothing could prepare Allan for what had become of his old friend.
