Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Twohy pulls all the strings to create an inventive genre piece.
Rotten: Twohy's overwrought, comic-book theatrics work against him, as does the hokey script.
Fresh: Twohy knows how to inflate the mundane into the scarifying, and gets full mileage out of the rolling of a stray barrel or the unexpected blast of a phonograph record.
Fresh: An enjoyable, if occasionally flawed, experiment.

I Liked It
Submarines have always creeped me out a little, and ghosts give me creeps too, so this movie was pretty scary to me. It takes a while to actually get interesting, but once it gets going, it doesn't slow down with the suspense and thrills. Some scenes try a little too hard, but it's pretty freaky for the most part. Good story, good acting, and good scares. About halfway through the movie, my friend and I noticed that one of the characters was played by Zach Galifianakis. It was interesting seeing him in a horror movie rather than his comedies The Hangover and Due Date. But all in all, this movie is definitely worth watching, but don't expect to be scared out of your mind, because it's not THAT scary.
Das freaking scary boot!
A solid submarine / horror movie . The combination of underwater claustrophobia and spooky horror movie elements gives this movie twice the thrill of other horror movies. I am a big watcher of horror and this one is intense, I had stop watching several times to take a breather. I really don't know which is worst, an enemy bullet or drowning in the deeps of the ocean. I prefer the bullet! Especially if the sub is haunted!

Great film,on the edge of your seat film! Love submarine films but this one has an added twist: it's a ghost story, too. Really enjoyed it!
