Plot Summary
In the acclaimed sequel to Planet of the Apes, another astronaut (James Franciscus) crashes through the time barrier searching for the missing Taylor (Charlton Heston). The daring rescue leads to a subterranean city where mutant humans, who practice mind control, worship a weapon capable of destroying the entire planet. Rotten: Hokey and slapdash.
Fresh: This first sequel to Planet of the Apes isn't bad, but already shows the way the original conception was to degenerate into routine comic strip adventure.
Rotten: As the apes close in and the mutants squeal their annoying noises, it's hard to care which side wins or loses, and that is a great disappointment after the excitement of the first film.

"We are a peaceful people ....." Yeah right!
Ok, let me just say that this was the strangest movie I have ever seen. It was sort of cheesy in parts and had a super strange ending, but even so, I enjoyed this movie. It pointed out just how foolish it is to go looking for war (as the Gorillas and Orangoutangs learned the hard way) and what comes from war. It is a serious thought provoker and makes you really think about your view on war. Oh and thank you LaughingGodzilla for ruining the ending for everyone who hasn't seen it yet.

THis has been and will be considered the worst movie ever for as long as I live! I watched it a couple years ago on Television right after the original planet of the apes(which was an amazing movie) because I had nothing better to do and It was literally the worst movie I have ever had the DISpleasure of watching! The plot line was incredibly stupid, the effects were atrocious, and overall the movie just sucked. Don't waste your money on this people.
