Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: What's left is an unpleasant visit with a pair of hateful married couples who, in due time, prove mirror images of one another. Symmetry has rarely been so dispiriting.
Rotten: The play-turned-film about marital friction is no Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

waste of time
Worst movie I've ever seen!! Horrible acting!! Don't waste your time and money
Amazing performances, very nice adaptation
Supremely intense, the movie hits strong emotional notes as the four characters grapple with very personal issues that in polite society probably shouldn't be aired in public. But they're what everyone is thinking. It's a vicarious thrill to see couples open up about these foibles in a way that you would shudder if someone did it at your own dinner party. Darkly funny in a schadenfreude way. Really strong performances by top-notch actors. Easily the best I've seen Stiles and Diggs in. Melissa George is a real scene stealer. And David Harbour owns it. Definitely stronger than most play-to-film adaptations. Easily works with time and space to open up the material, but still has the sharp dialogue of a play.
