Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: With its stacked moral deck, student stereotypes and false, halfhearted ending, "Beware the Gonzo" is really formula straining at the seams to be more. – Stephen Holden, New York Times, Sep 8, 2011

Rotten: "Beware the Gonzo" isn't bad, it's just that for a film aiming to celebrate media rebellion it feels timid and unadventurous. – Mark Olsen, Los Angeles Times, Sep 29, 2011

Rotten: Too cute by half. – Melissa Anderson, Village Voice, Sep 6, 2011

Fresh: Creates a recognizably adolescent milieu that's also a workable metaphor for the anxieties of the 21st-century press corps. – Eric Hynes, Time Out New York, Sep 7, 2011

Went for Jesse, surprised by the plot!

saw this movie at the lighthouse flim festival here in Beach Haven, NJ last year. It was a great movie! I went simply to see Jesse's role but ended up loving the entire project. After talking with Bryan Goluboff I really got a good sense of what he was trying to create and think he did a great job!

4 out of 5 stars in my book!!!!

Fun Fact:The director Bryan Goluboff also directed Basketball Diaries
