Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: A well-sourced account of a perfect, broken dream, Drew DeNicola and Olivia Mori's slightly shaggy documentary captures what it's like to discover music so good it seems as if it were made just for you.
Fresh: Overall, it's still a skillfully rendered narrative that should satisfy fans and pique the interest of the uninitiated.
Fresh: DiNicola explores the specifics of Big Star's implosion as well as anyone can, considering band breakups are much like shattered love affairs: Who ever really knows what went wrong?
Fresh: The story that writer-director Drew DeNicola and producer-director Olivia Mori reconstruct has the power to move even those who prefer Mozart or Lil Wayne.

Absolutely Brilliant!!!
An incredibly enthralling account of the most critically adored yet criminally ignored band of all time. The film is essential viewing for anyone who loves jaw-droppingly brilliant music and an utterly fascinating story. This is THE must see documentary of the year.
Big star nothing can hurt me
Unbelievably real creative story telling of this iconic band whose contribution to 70's music is just a phenom and whose music has influenced the world of Rock.Sooner than later the story had to be told publicly. A catharsis of lives and music that no critic can fault. Destined for many accolades among the best of the best documentaries ever produced.
Thank You
A brilliant documentary on one of the greatest American bands. Dramatic, heartfelt and man, what a soundtrack.
