Plot Summary
Academy Award-nominee Gary Busey ("Under Siege," "The Firm") stars in a story of three young surfers searching for meaning as their lives change in the '60s and '70s. This largely autobiographical film from director John Milius ("Conan The Barbarian") features truly spectacular surfing scenes. Also starring Jan-Michael Vincent ("The Winds of War"), real- life mother and son Barbara Hale ("Perry Mason") and William Katt ("The Greatest American Hero") and Patti D'Arbanville ("Miami Vice").

must see
simply enough: great story, classic actors, great surfing. The end will make you tear up. You dont need to be a surfer to love this film.
A modern classic
I was looking through a list of the greatest "sports movies of all time" and was delighted to see this on the list. A favourite from childhood, it hasn't lost any impact today. It's a modern classic
