*Really* dumb, but entertaining

This is, without any doubt, the stupidest movie I have ever seen, but it is fairly enjoyable just the same. Don't imagine that it is a serious martial arts film. Jackie Chan and Donnie yen have brief scenes that are completely artificial and contrived. Marital displays by other cast-members are even more farfetched, but they all seem to be having lots of fun.

Not too bad

I must say right off the bat that I am a Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi fan, so I bought this mostly off that sole fact and whether it was good or bad I would still like it so I'll try to be objective.

It's apparent from early on in the movie that this was meant to be taken more as a light action comedy and not a serious kung fu flick. If you keep that in mind while watching it I am sure you'll find this more enjoyable.

While I did like it I found that the pacing seemed too fast at times sometime creating a bit of confusion on what was going on and why. There were a few unexplained and WTH moments in the film that neither added to nor made the film more entertaining leaving some scenes feeling more like fillers than calclated plot points. Jackie Chan's scene was one of those moments and one they really could have left out. Very little in the way of character development or back history.

The premise, women subjugating men/men seeking freedom wasn't a bad idea but the execution as well as the queen's reason for things being that way felt a little lame and the oppression of the men was not really felt in the film as it seems they were only "slaves" in the main city. Film also used a lot of cheap graphics and poor wirework that didn't really detract from the movie but was noticable.

I know it seems like I am bashing the movie a bit - but I really did enjoy the movie and will watch it again. If you are a Twins fan and want to add another into your collection definitely buy otherwise unless you are into light action comedies you should probably just rent.
