Plot Summary
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Himalayas, "Blindsight" follows the gripping true-life adventure of six blind Tibetan teenagers on a climbing expedition up formidable Mount Everest. Believed to be possessed by demons because of their blindness, the children are feared by their parents, scorned by their villages and rejected by society. Rescued by a blind educator and adventuress, the students invite a famous blind mountain climber to visit their school and let him lead them higher than they have ever been before. The result is nothing anyone could have predicted.

Top Critics' Reviews
Fresh: Featuring exceptional people doing extraordinary things, Blindsight is one of those documentaries with the power to make you re-examine your entire life.
Fresh: Lucy Walker's observant film Blindsight is about profound East-West differences in the importance of journey versus destination and comradeship versus competition.
Fresh: To see how these conflicts play out, to see how both sides came to realize that they had unexpected things to learn from these remarkable young people, is where Blindsight really makes its mark.
Fresh: The film is often breathtakingly beautiful, and even as the students triumph over the naysayers, it's melancholy knowing they aren't sharing viewers' experiences of their starkly gorgeous world.

SEE THIS MOVIE
I had heard about Blindsight through a few online movie sights and was waiting for a while for it to come out. My brother is a climber so it sparked my interest. This is so much more than an Adventure film though. I'm not sure if it was released in the theaters, but i discovered here and am so glad i got the chance to see it. Kids need to see this movie because it's so inspirational but as an adult I fully enjoyed it for it's feel good vibe and breathtaking locations. It's too bad movies like this don't get more praise so i'm doing my little part!
Incredibly moving, motivating and intraspective!
A must see!!!
it is not what it looks like
Did you think this movie is about a blind guy climbing to the Everest? Me too. But it is not. It is about a blind guy taking many blind and poor kids from Tibet to one peak close to Everest. The movie is nice, but it is not what they sell. Do you want to see the expedition of a blind guy to the Everest? This is not the right movie.
