Plot Summary
An attractive executive (Rachel Leigh Cook) joins the Funk family futon company, where she is being groomed to replace Bob (Michael Leydon Campbell), the eldest son. Bob is on a downward spiral, facing each morning with the gluttonies of coffee, booze and women, without much else to fill his day. Ultimately Bob’s over-the-top behavior forces his mother to fire him. As Bob sets out on a path to regain control of his life and get his job back, he just might find love along the way.

Top Critics' Reviews
Rotten: Looks like a comedy, acts like a comedy and sounds like a comedy, but it isn't funny.
Rotten: Carlisle's film is designed with a certain suburban flatness that at times perfectly reflects Bob's inner deadness, though not his periodic spurts of sarcastic rage.
Rotten: [Bob Funk] insists that we find charm in its protagonist's most odious behavior.
Rotten: Playing the misogynistic, bar-hopping, impulsive, titular irritant, Campbell's thespy histrionics come off as truly labored.
