When a lonely teenager (Edward Furlong) orders the latest interactive video game, the high-tech wizardry penetrates his subconscious, where his darkest impulses lead him through a deadly maze of murder, deception and desire. Pursued by a homicide detective (Frank Langella) and prodded by the trickster (T. Ryder Smith), he is torn between the worlds of good and evil, of reality and fantasy and, ultimately, of life and death.

Amazing Movie

I fondly remember this movie. It is really good. Sure, it's a convoluted story, but the acting is great, the music is stellar and the movie is just plain fun.

Love this movie.

This movie really makes me think of my teen years. I loved it. It was the first movie I saw like it. There still hasn't been much done like it. The soundtrack was great. The performances were great. Sure, it's somewhat cheesy in parts these days, but that's part of why it's awesome! Definitely worth the watch. It's hard to explain why something is good sometimes, and this is one of those cases. Just watch it and make up your own mind. :)

looks like it could have been the "Are You Afraid of The Dark?" film if Nickeleon ever decided to make one. This film brings me back enjoying the psst-but glad to that I am now in the future. Edward Furlong is a great actor, however, the substance of this film is built around morals, finding the yourself. You will be finding yourself-sleepy in some moments. Other moments you will marvel in the CGI that was a big deal back in the day. If you love Metal music, Edward Furlong this movie is for you. Or if you can't seem to get enough of "Lawnmower Man" or "The Matrix" this film will fit nicely in the genre. But, it's good...
