Plot Summary

Winner of two Oscars, the romantic comedy that sparkles like diamonds! The names Audrey Hepburn and Holly Golightly have become synonymous since this dazzling romantic comedy was translated to the screen from Truman Capote's best-selling novella. Holly is a deliciously eccentric New York City playgirl determined to marry a Brazilian Millionaire. George Peppard plays her next-door neighbor, a writer who is "sponsored" by a wealthy Patricia Neal. Guessing who's the right man for Holly is easy. Seeing just how that romance blossoms is one of the enduring delights of this gem-like treat set to Henry Mancini's Oscar-winning score and the Oscar-winning Mancini-Johnny Mercer song "Moon River."

Top Critics' Reviews

Fresh: A completely unbelievable but wholly captivating flight into fancy composed of unequal dollops of comedy, romance, poignancy, funny colloquialisms and Manhattan's swankiest East Side areas captured in the loveliest of colors. – A.H. Weiler, New York Times, Feb 10, 2014

Fresh: Out of the elusive, but curiously intoxicating Truman Capote fiction, scenarist George Axelrod has developed a surprisingly moving film, touched up into a stunningly visual motion picture. – Variety Staff, Variety, Jul 7, 2010

Fresh: For those who considers themselves romantics, or for anyone who just enjoys a simple love story from time-to-time, Breakfast at Tiffany's offers a few simple pleasures. – James Berardinelli, ReelViews, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: This story of a party girl in love with a gigolo allows [director Blake] Edwards to create a very handsome film, with impeccable Technicolor photography by Franz Planer. – Dave Kehr, Chicago Reader, Jun 24, 2010

It'll take you 4 seconds to get to that door, I'll give you 2!

Audrey Hepburn, hmmmm... does that name ring a bell? First thing that comes to my mind is the amazing "Breakfast at Tiffany's"!!!! "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is such a great movie and there's nothing that bad in it and it's a CLASSIC!!!! Audrey Hepburn is one of the most beautiful and the most different actresses I have ever seen act. She just has a way of taking a role and tackling it in a way that makes her stand out from everyone and make you think that this was a documentary of her life. Audrey is one of the best actresses of her time and this was one of the most famous movies that she has made. Almost everybody knows what "Breakfast at Tiffany's" is even if they've never seen it. Or they know who's in it. One of the best movies ever made and it's just plain amazing!!!! I love it!!! Totally five stars. Sometimes people don't like this movie because of the plot, but if you think who Audrey Hepburn is then that's what you get. The story is kinda complicated, but there is a good point to it you just have to really pay attention to it. Good buy- really, I'm not lying. O and Mickey Rooney is in it. He plays the angry Oriental neighbor of Audrey Hepburn. lol He's hilarious too. :)

You Won't Find Anything this Good in a Cracker Jack Box

A classic art deco flick. Watching this movie alone just to see Holly Golightly's furniture is worth it. For anyone that lives, has lived, or even dreams of New York should watch this film. Into romance are you? Well, just check out what George Peppard has up his sleeve. A classic feel good film that will reaffirm that what you think you want you may just already have.

Charming & Stunning

I highly reccommend this movie. This was the first old time movie I had ever seen and from this point on I've not only been hooked, but Audrey Hepburn has become one of my idols. Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard are not only charming in this movie but their performances are unforgettable.
