Plot Summary

Renee Zellweger is back as everyone's favorite witty heroine in Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. Not that Bridget's counting, but it's been six wonderful weeks, four fabulous days, and seven precious hours with one flawless boyfriend, Mark Darcy (Colin Firth). But when mischievous and devilishly charming Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) arrives on the scene claiming to be a reformed man, can Bridget find a way to make true love last forever? It's the "absolutely hilarious" (Jim Ferguson, ABC-TV) romantic comedy that proves there's nothing like love to send you over the edge.

Top Critics' Reviews

Rotten: So clumsy and crass that it makes you doubt the pleasure of the first movie. – Charles Taylor, Salon.com, Jul 7, 2010

Rotten: It's the sequel to one of the best films of 2001 that quickly reveals itself as one of the big disappointments of 2004. – Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: A sequel that should have been buried six feet under. – Rex Reed, New York Observer, Jun 24, 2010

Rotten: Unfortunately, Zellweger and Firth don't ignite many sparks, and Bridget's neuroses, rather than endearing her to us, can be off-putting. – Robert Denerstein, Denver Rocky Mountain News, Jun 24, 2010
