Plot Summary

This unique and engrossing documentary explores the cultural phenomenon of Bronies, the rabid community of adult fans of the children’s cartoon show “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” The film chronicles Bronies from around the world as they share their stories and prepare to attend the annual BronyCon convention in Baltimore, Maryland. Revealing the Bronies’ community’s struggles to overcome ridicule and misunderstanding from society, the doc discovers that the elements of the cartoon embraced by the community – honesty, kindness, laughter, generosity, loyalty, and magic – are universal concepts that extend beyond age and gender. An original Pony Lover

I watched this because I was born in 1980 and remember my first my little pony and how that collection exploded there after. I wasn't surprised when there was a resurgence and a new show; I was however shocked to hear of something called "Bronies".

This documentary is more than just an exploration of the fan base but a shift in gender equality for men. This movement is saying its ok for men to have and share emotions, its ok to be friendly, kind, charitable, loyal, and unique. In a world that is erupting in violence and hate you have a wave of people who represent the counterpart and surprisingly the shift is coming from a vast majority of males.

Which is desperately needed!

There is nothing disturbing about this fan base who pride themselves on values of friendship and nonviolence. The world would benefit from more Bronies than it would its usual lot of terrorists, bigots, misogynists, bullies, or indifferent people.

Bronies are a beautiful thing! I hope they change the world.

I'm a huge fan of the show

I feel like people don't get what it's like to be a Brony and this documentary nailed it. I defiantly feel better about knowing I'm not the only one that feels the same way being a Brony. So come on everypony check out this video it's amazing!!

Curious, see this

A look inside the phenomenon that is mlp and seeing the affects around the globe of men young andold, flash animation class writing and high production values that propel the show, a lot like myself stumbled upon it by word of mouth. And grew watching till first run end third season
and watching reruns of reruns and on netflix saw the broadcast run of the film. It was a great onside look from fans and cast and crew, moderately disappointed they weren't at one of the bigger conventions rather than the hangout ones. Seeing select fans from around the globe share there experience of the affects of the show and some there first encounter doing something publicly for the first time
