Rotten: Insights shared by those left behind sharpen the focus on the sacrifices made by those who go off to war -- a message that might have been clearer were the film not so self-serving. – Laura Kern, New York Times, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Rademacher's vigorous commitment to making the documentary, as well as to his large, close-knit family, deserves respect. – Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Rademacher comes up with compellingly unfamiliar documentary footage. ... Firefights caught unvarnished and in the moment are harrowing because the cameraman himself is, well, harrowed. – Bob Mondello, NPR, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: "Brothers at War" is designed (and limited) as a corrective to what its maker sees as the anti-war harangues preceding it. Director and Decatur, Ill., native Jake Rademacher has a strong personal story to relay. You wish the film, executive-produced by Ga – Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune, Jun 24, 2010

Great documentary.

Great flick. Very touching portrayal of the family dynamic framed by the War in Iraq. A personal, up close view of what our patriots do every day. Made me very proud of our outstanding men in uniform.

If you would like some insight into the military....

this is a great documentary. I spent eight (8) years in an Army Infantry unit and this documentary really gives one a feel for the mundane and not so mundane life of being a soldier in a combat zone. I really enjoyed it and it brought back a lot of memories. Great job!
