Plot Summary
CARNAGE is a razor sharp, biting comedy centered on parental differences. After two boys duke it out on a playground, the parents of the "victim" invite the parents of the "bully" over to work out their issues. A polite discussion of childrearing soon escalates into verbal warfare, with all four parents revealing their true colors. None of them will escape the carnage.

Rotten: What are supposed to be transgressive observations about the holy state of parenthood and matrimony instead come across as self-satisfied and shallow as the pieties Reza intends to puncture.
Fresh: Carnage is ... more of a curiosity than a major experience - but it's fun and funny, and sometimes that's enough.
Fresh: Polanski hasn't had this much fun in years and neither, by the looks of things, has his cast. A wickedly dark delight.
Fresh: The screenplay develops beautifully as layer after layer of civilised behaviour is pared back. The awkward interaction of parents about their boys switches gear to become a hostile interaction of couples about their inner demons and relationship struggles

Carnage wreaked carnage
This movie, despite its awesome cast's commendable acting, was tedious beyond measure. After the first 20 minutes, the movie had made its point, and then simply began to slowly, predictably, kick the already putrified horse into dog food. We all have much better things to do with our time than watch this film.
Meh…a little funny, but mostly boring.
Had a couple of good laughs in the first couple of acts, but the third just drops off into a deep, black pit of absurdity and doesn't recover. After watching this I realize that Foster has become a ham of an actor. I can't remember a performance from her that had any lasting impressions in recent history. Her emotional nuances and subtleties have been worked to death. She needs a new bag of tricks. The rest of the cast looked bored and really phoned in their acts. Ridiculous and boring. Rent something else.
Carnage
Movie sucked. Stopped watching it 30 mins in. Wouldn't have lasted so long but I kept thinking it HAD to get better. It never did.
