Plot Summary

Casablanca: easy to enter, but much harder to leave, especially if you're wanted by the Nazis. Such a man is Resistance leader Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), whose only hope is Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one, especially Victor's wife Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), the ex-lover who broke his heart. Ilsa offers herself in exchange for Laszlo's transport out of the country and bitter Rick must decide what counts more - personal happiness or countless lives hanging in the balance.

Romance is Dead.

Look around you. Do you see flowers given to pretty girls? Do you see sexy in mannerisms? Do you see love instead of sex? Romance has died. It's been dead since the fifties. There are no more lovers of kindness and cunning, only those of muscles and boobs. This movie is one of the few left in the world that shows these many great ways to express true love and chivalry. And where is it? Collecting dust on a shelf with all of the other great movies out there. Bring Casablanca back! Buy it and see. And by the way, I'm 16. -Brad YouTube: TheRealBrad

You Only Think You Know How It Goes

You may know all about the plane and the ending. But rent this (or buy it when it comes up) and find the amazing black-and-white cinematography, the multiple subplots of the refugees fleeing the Nazis, the tension of the dark days of World War II, and the style and wit of the dialogue. "Casablanca" has one of the best screenplays ever written in Hollywood and is one of the greatest movies of all time. It'll stand up to repeat viewing over and over again.

Timeless Story of Love, Courage, Truth, and Choices We Make.

Every line full of meaning, an unforgettable story entertains, inspires, humors and charms. Get it. On the surface, the story is about a man rediscovering his lost love and resisting a military dictatorship. Deeper still, Casablanca examines what choices people make in their lives. How will they meet unavoidable conflict? How will people overcome hardships? The plot twists and turns and keeps you guessing! How will it end? In the end, the only saving grace is the trust people put into each other, and their integrity to do the right thing. Casablanca, The second must see movie on the 'Top Ten' Best American movies of all time (Citizen Kane is the #1), as voted by the American Film Industry. Rated as the 11th best movie of all time by imdb members. Casablanca is a powerhouse movie filled with Hollywood Golden Age Immortals: Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Paul Henreid, Claude Rains, Conrad Veidt, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre, S.Z. Sakall, Madeleine LeBeau, Dooley Wilson, and many more. Casablanca word for word is packed with creative writing, deadpan humor, and witty dialog: Captain Renault: 'What in heaven's name brought you to Casablanca?' Rick: 'My health. I came to Casablanca for the waters.' Captain Renault: 'The waters? What waters? We're in the desert!' Rick: 'I was misinformed.' - - - Ugarte: 'You despise me, don't you?' Rick: 'If I gave you any thought I probably would.' Ugarte: 'You know, Rick, I have many a friend in Casablanca, but somehow, just because you despise me, you are the only one I trust.' - - - Rick: 'Don't you sometimes wonder if it's worth all this? I mean what you're fighting for.' Victor Laszlo: 'You might as well question why we breathe. If we stop breathing, we'll die. If we stop fighting our enemies, the world will die.' Rick: 'Well, what of it? It'll be out of its misery.' Victor Laszlo: 'You know how you sound, Mr. Blaine? Like a man who's trying to convince himself of something he doesn't believe in his heart.' - - - Casablanca is well worth renting, buying on iTunes, or buying the Deluxe 2-DVD Collector's Special Edition. You will enjoy watching it time and time again.
