Plot Summary
Casablanca: easy to enter, but much harder to leave, especially if you're wanted by the Nazis. Such a man is Resistance leader Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid), whose only hope is Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart), a cynical American who sticks his neck out for no one, especially Victor's wife Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), the ex-lover who broke his heart. Ilsa offers herself in exchange for Laszlo's transport out of the country and bitter Rick must decide what counts more - personal happiness or countless lives hanging in the balance.

Romance is Dead.
Look around you. Do you see flowers given to pretty girls? Do you see sexy in mannerisms? Do you see love instead of sex? Romance has died. It's been dead since the fifties. There are no more lovers of kindness and cunning, only those of muscles and boobs. This movie is one of the few left in the world that shows these many great ways to express true love and chivalry. You Only Think You Know How It Goes
You may know all about the plane and the ending. But rent this (or buy it when it comes up) and find the amazing black-and-white cinematography, the multiple subplots of the refugees fleeing the Nazis, the tension of the dark days of World War II, and the style and wit of the dialogue. "Casablanca" has one of the best screenplays ever written in Hollywood and is one of the greatest movies of all time. It'll stand up to repeat viewing over and over again.
