Plot Summary
Cell Count is the story of Russell Carpenter, who reluctantly admits his wife, Sadie, into an experimental treatment facility for her life threatening disease. While locked in this prison-like surrounding, they, along with six others, are unknowingly subjected to a cure that might just be worse than the disease itself. Starring Robert McKeehen ("Leverage"), Haley Talbot ("Grimm"), Ted Rooney ("Boardwalk Empire") and Daniel Baldwin, this gruesome thriller will make you think twice before your next visit to the doctor. A bloody good time!
Fun, scary, and gory! Everything I want in my escapist film viewing!
A gut-wrenching tale of love, hope and survival...
If you like your horror films served up with just the right amount of gore typical of the genre these days, but driven by old school scary movie pacing, Cell Count doesn't disappoint. A creepy little morsel that's a mixture of medical monstrosities, a mad doctor, and biology gone horribly awry. Solid acting by the cast and deft direction by filmmaker, Todd Freeman. Recommended.
Body Horror Science Fiction with solid performances
Cell Count is a great looking science fiction/horror movie that is propelled along by a great score and terrific sound design. If you enjoy movies by John Carpenter or David Cronenberg, you'll find a lot to like in Cell Count.
