Plot Summary

Led by Fidel Castro, a band of 80 rebels sails to Cuba. Among them is Argentine physician, Marxist and soldier Ernesto "Che" Guevara (Del Toro). Fueled by determination, the group engages in a swift, bloody battle that frees Cuba from a corrupt dictatorship. A hero to some, Che also becomes hugely controversial. At the height of fame and power he disappears, only to surface in South America, where he stealthily recruits another band of guerillas in the harsh Bolivian jungle. His goal: spark revolution throughout Latin America. "I was drawn to Che as a subject for a movie (or two)," says Soderbergh, "not only because his life reads like an adventure story, but because I am fascinated by technical challenges that go along with implementing any large-scale political idea. I wanted to detail the mental and physical demands these two campaigns required, and illustrate the process by which a man born with an unshakable will discovers his own ability to inspire and lead others." Rotten: Twice as long as it needs to be, but it is also only half the movie it should have been. – Owen Gleiberman, Entertainment Weekly, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Che Two is deeply impressive: austerely confident, coherent and mysterious. – Peter Bradshaw, Guardian, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Like Guevara's slog through the Bolivian undergrowth, Che Part Two is a hallucinatory journey into the heart of darkness, defined by a performance of great presence. – Andrew Male, Empire Magazine, Jun 24, 2010

Fresh: Saying that a film has too much insight is hardly damning. – David Jenkins, Time Out, Jun 24, 2010

Good Film

This movie is an interesting look at the life of a revolutionary. People who judge this movie and say that it is a glorification of a murderer are ignorant to the fact that warfare has innocent casualities. The movie is an interesting view on a mans life who died for what he believed in. That is what is so attractive about Che not the fact that he killed innocent people. If you honestly don't like this movie because he was a communist who fought in a war and innocent people died then you have to burn all your one dollar bills because george washington was a revolutionary who killed people in the name of his cause the only difference is che was a communist. Any who both parts are really good and show how great an actor Benecio Del Toro and shows a look at something different then which most american viewers are used to. I would say to those viewers that hate this movie to turn off glenn beck and turn on there minds.

Great Film

This movie was amazing. I've been wanting to read a book or see a film about Che's life. He was an extraordinary man; a doctor, a revolutionary. Che saw the best and the worst of life. Very intelligent and charismatic, Che fought for what he believed to be right, and in my opinion a lot of his idea are right, if executed properly. Just simply an amazing film.

Epic Movie

Love the movie, Benicio Del Toro had a great performance. Is a Must buy part1 and part2.
