Plot Summary
17 year-old Ivy League freshman, Aaron Milton (Kyle Gallner, Nightmare on Elm Street) gets a different kind of education when he falls for single mother, Linda (Laura Allen, Old Dogs), a vivacious former wild-child who has returned to college to straighten out her life. The curriculum gets more challenging when Aaron meets Linda’s sarcastic 14 year-old daughter, Beth (Britt Robertson, Scream 4 ), who quickly develops a crush on him. The math doesn’t work in either direction but the dysfunctional triangle becomes an adventure in learning for everyone.

Rotten: Cherry cribs from The Graduate, Educating Rita, Good Will Hunting and Legally Blonde, but never comes close to being as funny or as touching as those movies at their best.
Fresh: A sparkling coming-of-ager about a 17-year-old virgin who imperfectly juggles academic challenges and off-campus liaisons, somehow emerging able to walk on water.
Rotten: As ungainly and unkempt as its teen protagonist.
Fresh: The movie stirs up a thoroughly relatable swirl of youthful tentativeness, raging hormones, and the thrill and angst that come with new independence - all the things running through a good kid's head at 17.

A Poignant Coming-of-Age Film
An unflinching film about kids finding themselves, the confusing and painful steps along the way, friends made, laughter had and sorrowful goodbyes said. The characters feel real, have their own flaws and struggles, and because of this we care what happens to them. A story with heart and heartache coupled with emotionally gripping performances.
Best movie I've seen in a while
This is definitely one of the best films I've seen in a long time. The thing that I really love about this movie, is the characters. They're just like me or you. They are relatable and it ends up being heartwrenching when something emotional happens to them in the film. I also love the story, I really wanted it to go on and was angry (and sad) when it was over. Definitely something you should BUY, these guys deserve all the support you can give.
Lovely film
We join Aaron, a sweet nerdy engineering freshman, with a beautiful eye for drawing as he is deposited at a small Ivy League school. His feuding divorced parents: helicopter, uber controlling mom and overrun father all but take his classes for him.
So begin new friendships and coming of age experiences that help Aaron to explore his new life.
In the spirit of "Almost Famous" and "Love Actually" the journey is one I can relate well to, and now as a parent can watch from a distance as my children find themselves finding their own path in a much more complicated world.
This film will stay with you, share it with your kids
