Plot Summary
Based on the best-selling book, "Is the Father of Jesus the God of Muhammad?" by Dr. Timothy George. Words unfamiliar to most Americans are now heard daily on the evening news: jihad, Islam, Allah, Quran, fatwa, imam, ummah, Ramadan. Today, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, with more than 13,000 mosques in North America alone. Now that Muslims are our neighbors, how do we talk to them about Christ? What do Muslims think about Jesus? Which beliefs do we share in common with Muslims and where do we differ from them? Do we worship the same God they worship? Is the Father of Jesus the God of Muhammad? Noted theologian, best-selling author, Dr. Timothy George, teams with T N Mohan, producer-director of the award winning films, "Hanged on a Twisted Cross," "Here I Stand," "For One English Officer," to answer these and other in this visually rich four-part TV series. Dr. George is dean of Beeson Divinity School of Samford University and an executive editor of "Christianity Today." The series avoids the angry condemnation of all Muslims on the one hand, or a compromising of Christian truth-claims on the other. Muslim views are stated fairly and objectively from Muslim scholars who appear in the series. The programs set forth basic and foundational differences between Christianity and Islam and the implications for how we understand God, Christ, and the meaning of salvation.

Biased and One-Sided
As someone receiving a graduate degree in Religion from an ivy league institution, I was hoping that this documentary would show the relationship between the two in this country, as well as worldwide. Instead, it was a 2 hour discussion of how to "talk to your "muslim friends" about Jesus Christ." There is nothing wrong with a constructive and deep conversation between people of different faiths, but this documentary -- or rather sunday-school style conversion documentary -- seemed more concerned with disproving Islam and proving Christianity to be superior than helping people to understand the similarities that the two share.
If looking for a movie to learn how to convert people from one faith to another, this is perfect. But if looking for an interfaith discussion, not the film.
3 1/2 stars
By the review you can tell it is going to be discussed from a Christian worldview. Although unlike many documentaries on Islam this one doesn't attack or promote fear in any way in my opinion. It is clear, factual, and easy to understand. It has information for beginners learning about Islam and will provide new information to those that study these two particular religions. I give it 3 1/2 because the main narrator talks so much and gets boring at times and can get annoying. But overall a good film for study but not for entertainment.
Christianity and Islam
Eeks. It was not for me. A bit too Christian oriented.
